Update #1 (Corrections and Balance)
Medrad: ConsTRAIN » Devlog
There are two mechanical fixes, a grammar mistake corrected, and a change to the logo for the printable version to make it a bit cheaper to print, though perhaps a bit harder to read. But you know what the system is, you don't need to waste ink for my ego. If you don't, you're welcome to fill it on. All changes are on the front side.
- Health has been doubled. Combat is meant to be fast, but it should be reasonably possible to survive at least one hit.
- The Mort ability, Raise Dead, has been updated to be only available once per scene. While it hasn't been relevant, I had noticed there was no limit on it, making everyone else effectively immortal until a Mort character is removed. I am considering having it cost a Retort, either in addition or, more likely, instead. As is, it is limited in amount you can use it, though having it take a retort instead would make its use leave you vulnerable. I like this approach more, but it may change later on.
- Infection was slightly reworded, using "per point" instead of "for point." It was meant to say either "per point" or "for each point," but I screwed up and said neither. Fixed!
- Certain words were anti-aliased. I think it not being anti-aliased (aliased?) gives it a cool, clean look, so I fixed that.
- The "ConsTRAIN" in the logo on the front side has been made into an outline in the Printable version to minimize ink cost when printing.
Next update will probably be adding additional resources. The game is playable in its current state, and I think it gets the gist across for the setting, but I would like to have the ideas expanded on a bit more, as well as giving some clarity on certain rules.
